Cornell AgriTech has two housing units on the Geneva campus, each with five separate bedrooms to rent per house. The houses are maintained for the sole purpose of supporting and enhancing the mission and programs of Cornell AgriTech. Housing units may be co-ed. Common areas in the house include kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom, and laundry room. Only one individual (Licensee) may occupy the separate bedroom. The assigned bedroom must be used only as a private room to live in. In addition to use of the bedroom, Licensee shall share access to housing unit common areas with the other occupants. Licensee is responsible for keeping his/her personal bedroom as well as all the common areas clean and free of debris.
Room eligibility is extended to the following individuals, who must have an official appointment with Cornell University to be allowed to occupy Station Housing: graduate students and academic staff (professor; research, extension and postdoctoral associates; visiting fellows, scientists, scholars and visiting professors) with a maximum stay of six months. Station Housing is a short-term or transitional option before the individual returns home or finds housing elsewhere in the community. Once a room reservation has been approved, the reservation is contingent upon the Licensee maintaining a valid Cornell appointment for the duration of their stay. If the Licensee’s appointment terminates early, the license agreement will also be terminated effective the last day of the appointment. In this case, the 30-day notice is waived for both the Licensee and the University. Special consideration for a Licensee to remain in Station Housing may be given to Licensees who have appointments that are extended beyond six months.
